Born during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Seattle-based SULK was founded by wife-and-husband duo Carly Nelson (vocals, bass) and Peder Nelson (vocals, guitar). Their debut album, Hiding With You, recorded later that year, introduced their alt-rock/electronic/no-wave sound. In 2021, drummer and vocalist Jasper McCann joined, transforming SULK into a dynamic, collaborative trio where all members contribute to songwriting, arranging, and vocals.
Since then, SULK has evolved into a harder-edged, driving force, blending elements of dream pop, garage rock, and indie rock. Their lyrics range from dreamy to esoteric to outright absurd, delivering a sound that’s as unpredictable as it is electrifying.
SULK'S robot overlords describe the band's new sound as Energetic, Aggressive, and Uplifting. Our fans say it's Passionate. SULK will let you be the judge.
Active in the Seattle music scene, SULK regularly plays local venues and festivals, captivating audiences with their dynamic performances.
Their new album, (insert album name here), delivers eight powerful tracks, including phantasmic fan-favorite “Cat Ghost”, the gripe-filled punk anthem “Jumbotron”, and the blisteringly nostalgic “Epilogue.”
